Yes, it does... And it always will... I'd like to welcome you to my hometown, and except for a few years where I ventured off to other other places, I always seemed to find my way back home...

Pittsburgh, in fact, is known as “the city of bridges.” There are 446 bridges in the city limits — three more than in Venice, Italy.

The bridges, the rivers, the hills, the food, and especially the people all make Pittsburgh the best city on earth.

As the second-largest city in the state of Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh is known for so many interesting things...

Let me show you a few of them...

Pittsburgh is a beautiful city by day...

And it really shine at night! In fact, Pittsburgh is the city with a entrance! If you come through the Fort Pitt Tunnel into Pittsburgh, especially at night, you are in for a treat!

Pittsburgh also has a few interesting facts...

The Big Mac was invented in the Pittsburgh suburbs by Jim Delligatti, a local McDonald’s franchisee. It was first sold in 1967.

Pittsburgh is home to the first commercial radio station in the world, KDKA. The station began by broadcasting presidential election results on November 2, 1920.

The University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning is the second tallest university building in the world.

Steel made in Pittsburgh was used to build iconic structures like the Empire State Building, Golden Gate Bridge, and many of the ships built during World War II.

Pittsburgh’s Beechview neighborhood is home to the steepest street in the United States (and possibly the world): Canton Avenue. It is as steep as 37 degrees.

The emoticon was invented in Pittsburgh in 1980 by Carnegie Mellon University computer scientist Scott Fahlman.

Pittsburgh is also know for another thing...

STEPS!

Many of Pittsburgh's steps are legal streets, and all of them reflect the city's unique topography and history. Together, these 712 sets of steps provide a vital link in the city's transportation system as well as unusual challenges for pedestrians, joggers, the bike police, and especially pizza delivery. More about steps at the link below.

Another thing I love about Pittsburgh is Kennywood Park. I decided to create a page for it too...
