I never realized there was so much stuff related to the Port Authority in a smaller scale... Welcome to the second page... Let's begin by looking at Joe Vargo's Corgi Models. Interestingly, Joe told me that a Corgi I have is one of 1500 made. I have one, and he has one... Where's the other 1498?
1799. The red, white and blue one in the background is the oddity... It's numbered 1753, but the problem is 1753 was never in that color combo... A fluke? Perhaps, but it's something to hold onto now.
1771 I really like this one myself...
1778.
1782.
Un-numbered car in Joes paint shop. What will it become? We'll have to wait and see! All of the cars you have seen have been repainted by Joe, with the exception of 1753. That ones a "no touch".
1705, True to colors, as this car is featured in the "mod pcc" section on this site.
Here's the odd 1753 car. This one is from my personal collection... Joe has the same car.
1782 in N, HO, and O scale.
I just picked up this totally functional G scale version of 1776.
Looks pretty good to me... It's DCC equipped and is designed to run outside... Hmmmm.
Another beautiful creation by Joe Vargo... This one has special meaning to me as 4009 was the car I operated on the PCC fantrip after the last day of service... I'd love to do this one in HO scale!
Interesting footnote by Joe, and now I too am wondering, and maybe one of you may have insight for us... Why do the Corgi PCC cars have dual exhausts? It's a interesting question that we'd love to have answered.
I hope there will be a lot of additions to this page!
