I want to dedicate this page to people who make make model railroads. I am one myself. Now that I have a house, I can actually do something in the basement. I am still undecided on a scale yet, but if I can do half as good as these folks have done, well, I'd be super pleased!
Let's go have a look!
I found these pictures of a excellent model train layout in HO scale, modeled after the PATrain.
It belongs to Ken Miller. He did a superb job on this layout, If I could only do half as good, I'd be happy!
PATrain 6691 leads the westbound commuter train under the Duquesne-McKeesport Bridge.
The westbound train is passing through the city of Pittsburgh as it makes its way to the old B&O station on Grant Street.
This is the front facade of the Baltimore and Ohio passenger station on Grant Street. This structure, which no longer exists, was built in 1957. The date can be seen on the lower left of the building.
The F-7AU locomotive sits between the platforms on one of the two express tracks leading to the station.
Another view of the station. If you look on the left, you can see an HO-scale version of the PATrain schedule.
Close up of 1601 and 1603.
Again, great job Ken!
I found another layout online, and although I don't know who did it, I wanted to share these...
1742, The Clark Bar car!
1730, the Mod Desire! I wanna see Cannonball Run!
Ahh... The terrible Trolley (1713) has arrived! Hey, watch where your hands are!
Here is a scale model layout of the South Hills Junction, designed and constructed by Bob Dietrich. The attention he paid to detail and his remarkable craftsmanship is simply unbelievable!
Here are a few pictures...
Someone I found online is modeling a Duquesne Incline... Looks good so far, I'd Like to see it when It's complete.
How about a mini South Hills junction in the Mod Era?
Even I tried my hand at doing up a few Mod era PCC cars... In N scale... I had planned to use these on my home layout (under construction) but I have since decided to go with HO scale.
Jason Belavic's PCC HO scale fleet! They are remakable!
I'm honored... I really am. 4009 was my car to run on the fantrip in 99. Here it is in minature! I love it!
On with the show...Let's head to page 2!
